1985: The ADVENTURES of a SUPPORT BAND | Whistle Test | Classic BBC Music

Old UK

Andy Kershaw reports from Liverpool, the next stop on Tears For Fears’ concert tour of the UK. Tears For Fears travel the country in a huge tour bus (with video-playing facilities, no less), while their support act – Belfast group The Adventures (Terry Sharpe, Pat Gribben, Eileen Gribben, Gerard ‘Spud’ Murphy, Tony Ayre, Jonathan Whitehead and Paul Crowder) – travel in a rather less luxurious mini bus. Tears For Fears stay in the beautiful Edwardian splendour of the Adelphi Hotel, The Adventures stay in the more modest environ of the Bradford Hotel.
