Focke-Wulf Fw 190
In October 1942, the Luftwaffe launched a retaliatory raid on England, the largest daylight attack since 1940. The city of Canterbury was assailed by waves of Germany’s best fighter-bomber, the Focke-Wulf Fw 190, known appropriately as the ‘Butcher Bird’, with devastating results.
