How King Henry VIII Changed London

King Henry VIII

King Henry VIII wanted to build the largest palace in the world. In 1529, the Catholic church and Lord Chancellor denied Henry VIII an annulment from Cathryn of Aragon, meaning he couldn’t marry Ann Boleyn. He went on to charge The Lord Chancellor with treason and took his property. Watch ‘London 2000 Years of History’ to find out how Henry VIII built his palace and took over a large amount of property in London.
